Grand Marnier Soufflé [0001003] Ingredients: 4 large eggs, separated 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1/4 cup Grand Marnier liqueur 1 teaspoon orange zest 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/4 cup gluten-free all-purpose flour 1/4 cup milk (dairy or dairy-free) 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar Powdered sugar, for dusting Instructions: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place a baking sheet in the oven to heat up. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and 1/4 cup of granulated sugar until the mixture becomes pale and creamy. Add the Grand Marnier, orange zest, and vanilla extract to the yolk mixture, and continue to whisk until well combined. In a separate bowl, sift the gluten-free all-purpose flour to remove any lumps. Gradually add the sifted flour to the yolk mixture, alternating with the milk, in small portions. Mix until the batter is smooth. In a clean, dry bowl, beat the egg whites with the cream of tartar until soft peaks form. Gradually add the remaining 1/4 cup of granulated sugar to the egg whites, continuing to beat until stiff, glossy peaks form. Gently fold one-third of the beaten egg whites into the yolk mixture to lighten it. Then, carefully fold in the remaining egg whites until fully incorporated. Grease and sugar-coat the ramekins or soufflé dishes, tapping out any excess sugar. Fill each ramekin with the soufflé mixture almost to the top. Place the filled ramekins on the preheated baking sheet in the oven and immediately reduce the temperature to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 18-20 minutes or until the soufflés have risen and are lightly browned on top. Remove the soufflés from the oven, dust with powdered sugar, and serve immediately. Enjoy your delicious gluten-free Grand Marnier Soufflé!
