Rouladen [0000014] Ingredients: 4 beef round steaks (about 1/4 inch thick) 4 slices gluten-free bacon 1 large onion, finely chopped 4 tablespoons gluten-free mustard Salt and pepper to taste 4 dill pickles, sliced into thin strips 2 tablespoons vegetable oil 1 cup gluten-free beef broth 2 tablespoons gluten-free cornstarch (optional, for thickening) Instructions: Lay out the beef steaks and season with salt and pepper. Spread a tablespoon of gluten-free mustard on each steak. Place a slice of bacon and a portion of chopped onion on each steak. Lay a few strips of pickle on top. Roll up the steaks, securing them with toothpicks to hold the shape. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Brown the rouladen on all sides. Add beef broth to the pan, cover, and simmer for about 1.5 to 2 hours until the meat is tender. If desired, mix gluten-free cornstarch with water and add to the pan to thicken the gravy.
